Artist's Statement

In my series of drawings and prints entitled Piece of Mind, I am interested in mapping the interaction and interdependency of coexisting systems that comprise our world. Whether these systems are organic, mechanical, or linguistic, they are complex unities formed of many diverse parts. Visual representations of systems allow us to see information, processes, theory, and selective aspects of life. My work functions as a palimpsest that manifests the process of ordering and connecting to the world around us.
