This fall, IPCNY has mounted an unprecedentedly successful show here in Chelsea: Black Pulp! which examines evolving perspectives of Black identity in American culture and history from 1912 to 2016 through contemporary works of art and rare historical printed media. The show has drawn large crowds, sparked great reactions, and earned us our first review in The New York Times.

As a result, several museums and university art galleries outside of New York City have requested to borrow and install the exhibition themselves, to share it with the communities they serve. This is a costly endeavour, but one which would broaden the show’s reach and amplifying its impact.

This is where you can help. #GivingTuesday, which falls on November 29th this year, is a day dedicated to giving to the causes you care about. With your help, we can take on the administrative and logistical challenges of sending this show on tour, and use our newfound momentum to ignite conversation around the country. Your contributions will pay for safe travel of the works, defray registrar costs, and ensure that fragile, historical works on paper can be viewed by as many people as possible.

Our fundraising goal is: $10,000.
