The Drawing Study Center contains more than 10,000 drawings and prints spanning the fourteenth through twentieth centuries, with particular strength in its collection of Rembrandt etchings.  Hours: Monday- Friday 9:30 am – 4 pm.  Appointments are required.

 The Study Rooms for Drawings and Prints are accessible to qualified visitors by appointment and with proper identification.  The Metropolitan Museum has more than one million prints by virtually every master printmaker  who has ever practiced, and extensive holdings of illustrated books and printed ephemera.

The New York Public Library, The Miriam & Ira D. Wallach Division of Art, Prints and Photographs Study Room

Contains nearly 200,000 original prints, illustrated books and drawings dating back to the fifteenth century including the Stokes and Avery collections.  Also available are 15,000 volumes of the history of prints and printmakers.  No appointment is necessary; Access Card and Card of Admission are required.  An application for the access card may be complete at the service desks in the Research Libraries. A Card of Admission must be requested in person, and is non-transferable.  General reference materials can be accessed by the public during regular Library hours (call (212) 930-0800)
