-2010-

June 17 – IPCNY Members invited to: “The Magic Hour” Wave Hill hosts a sunset stroll through their gardens and galleries for Propagating Eden.

May 23 – IPCNY Members invited to Wave Hill’s panel discussion with Michelle Oka Doner, artist; Patricia Jones, Director of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Library Service and Curator of the Florilegium  Society; and Karen Reeds, scholar; moderated by Pari Stave, IPCNY Trustee and curator of Propagating Eden.

April 19 – Wave Hill hosts cultivation event for Propagating Eden; morning coffee in the Glyndor Gallery, 9:30 – 11:30 am.

April 14 – Curatorial talk and private viewing of Wallworks for members and wallpaper lenders with Sarah Richards.

April 9 – Members receive complementary admission to Wave Hill for opening reception of Propagating Eden.

March 23 – Members invited to Opening Reception for Pablo Picasso: Celebrating the Muse: Women in Picasso’s Prints 1905-1968 at Marlbourgh Gallery

March 21 – Members invited to the IFPDA’s all day tour of Philagrafika 2010

November 7 – Artist Talks and Reception for national print clubs, IPCNY members, E/AB presenters with Anders Bergstrom, Ardan Ozmenoglu and Endi Poskovic.

November 7, 8 -- Curatorial tours of the IFPDA Print Fair with Thomas E. Rassieur of the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Elizabeth Wyckoff of the Davis Museum and Cultural Center, Wellesley College. Open to contributing level members and above.

November 4 – Complementary tickets for IPCNY members to Opening Night of IFPDA Print Fair

October 3 – IPCNY members invited to IFPDA/Morgan Library event, “The Informed Eye: An Expert Look at Print Collecting” with panelists Deborah Wye, Jordan Schnitzer, Armin Kunz, Jacob Lewis, and Terry Winters and moderated by Susan Sollins at the Morgan Library and Museum.

September 16 – Lecture by Dr. Walter Melion at MOBIA for IPCNY members

May 21, 2009: Walk through and curatorial talk for upper-level members of Cuban Artists Books, 1985-2005, at the Grolier Club.

April 23, 2009: New Prints 2009/Spring: Selected by Polly Apfelbaum Artists Talk and Members' Preview with Polly Apfelbaum.

March 5-8, 2009: IPCNY upper-level members complimentary run-of-show admission the The Armory Show.

January 29, 2009: Reception and celebration of newly released Tamarind Techniques for Fine Art Lithography with Marjorie Devon, Bill Laguttata, and Nicola Lopez.

November 3, 2007: IPCNY hosts a breakfast reception and gallery talk for members and national print clubs.  Artists Alex Dodge, Lothar Osterburg and Andrew Raftery talk about their work on display in NEW PRINTS: Autumn 2007. 9:30-11:30 a.m.

November 1, 2007: Opening Reception for NEW PRINTS: Autumn 2007, the 25th presentation of IPCNY's New Prints program, 5-8 p.m., followed by an issue release party and special preview for art on paper magazine's New Prints Review, sponsored by 360 Vodka, Pure Food and Wine and Bottino, 8-10 p.m.


September 20, 2007: Opening Reception for Working with Prints: Selections from Eight Corporate Collections from 6-8 p.m.

June 28, 2007: Opening Reception for SILKSCREENS: New Prints 2007/Summer at IPCNY, 6-8 p.m.

May 24, 2007:IPCNY hosts its 1st Spring Benefit cocktail reception and dinner honoring Ellsworth Kelly, Deborah Wye, and Leslie and Johanna Garfield.


May 2, 2007: Opening reception: Pop Prints From the Collection of John and Kimiko Powers, 6-8

March 8, 2007: Opening Reception of New Prints 2007/ Spring: Selected by James Siena at IPCNY, 6-8 pm.

March 6, 2007: An artist’s talk and private viewing of James Siena: Prints and States at Pace Prints, 6-8 p.m.

February 27, 2007: IPCNY Members’ visit to Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, including a studio and archive tour and printmaking demonstration with Phil Sanders, Director and Master Printer, and artist Chris Uphues, 6-8 pm.

January 31, 2007: IPCNY members are given special Invitation by the Grolier Club and the Trustees of IPCNY to An Evening with Artists and Printers included in Hot Off the Press: Prints of 2006 from New York Printshops, curated by Janice C. Oresman, Chairman of IPCNY. Reception and Private viewing 6 -8 pm.

January 10, 2007: New Prints 2007/ Winter opens with the reception held at IPCNY from 6-8 pm.

April 5, 2006: Reception at IPCNY for New Editions/Scotland honoring Tartan Week. Reception sponsored by Talikser Distillery and Scottish Gourmet.

May 4, 2005: Opening reception for New Prints 2005/Spring: Selected by Kiki Smith, IPCNY's sixteenth New Prints Presentation. 6-8 p.m.


April 27, 2005: Members' Shoptalkat Lower East Side Printshop celebrating the Lower East Side Printshop’s new, expanded studio. The event included workshop demonstrations, wine and a welcome by Dusica Kirjakovic, the printshop’s Director. Recently published works by 23 artists selected by Marilyn Kushner and Nancy Princenthal were on view. 6-8 p.m.



March 12, 2005: Complementary entry to the International Fair of New Art at the Armory for IPCNY members. 11 a.m.-12 noon.

March 9, 2005: Opening reception for Industry and Idleness: Selections from the Print Collection of the Museum of the City of New York,

June 23, 2004: Opening reception for New Prints 2004/Summer,
IPCNY's thirteenth New Prints Presentation. April 28, 2004: Collection visit for IPCNY Patron and Contributing Members. Patrons and Contributing Members attended a reception and view of a private collection of 20th century American prints with a strong concentration of ULAE prints from the 1970's onwards. 6-8 p.m.

April 13, 2004:
Shoptalkat Leroy Neiman Center for Print Studies, Columbia University. IPCNY members enjoyed an evening with Tomas Vu-Daniel, Director including an artist's talk by Brad Kahlhamer and a printmaking demonstration by the shop's master printer.

March 11, 2004
:Opening reception for Trains, Balloons & Buggies: Lithographs by Honoré Daumier. 6-8 p.m. Brief talk by Dieter and Lilian Noack, creators of www.daumier.org at 7 p.m.

January 15, 2004: Opening reception for New Prints 2004/Winter, IPCNY's eleventh presentation of the New Prints Program. January 6, 2004:

January 21, 2003: Curator's Talk: Members and friends of IPCNY, The Elizabeth Foundation of the Arts, the Library of Congress and Robert Blackburn's Printmaking Workshop were invited to attend a talk by Deborah Cullen, Guest Curator of Creative Space: 50 Years of Robert Blackburn's Printmaking Workshop. This event was especially organized for IPCNY's upper level members.

November 26, 2002: Creative Space: 50 Years of Robert Blackburn's Printmaking Workshop opens in IPCNY's exhibition space. Members and friends of IPCNY, the Library of Congress, The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, artists and former workshop participants attended an opening reception to celebrate Robert Blackburn and the Printmaking Workshop.

November 4, 2002: Reception and Panel Discussion at Sotheby's for artists, donors, members and friends of IPCNY on the occasion of IPCNY's Benefit Auction. The panel, introduced by Anne Coffin, Director of IPCNY, addressed issues related to print collecting and was followed by a lively discussion prompted by questions from the audience.

November 10, 2002: IPCNY Members attend a private view and Saturday morning brunch at the Artists Books/Editions Fair, newly located in Chelsea down the street from IPCNY.

October 30, 2002: A Collection Visit
for IPCNY's upper level members at the Manhattan home of Irene and Albert Sax.

October 23, 2002:
Shoptalkbegins this season
with a digital printmaking demonstration by Master Printers of Pamplemousse Press: Jean-Yves Noblet and Andre Ribouli, at Pace Prints.

September 18, 2002: New Prints 2002/Autumn
begins IPCNY's fall season. Members, artists and friends of IPCNY are invited to attend the opening reception. The Selections Committee for New Prints 2002/ Autumn consisted of: Leslie Garfield, Larissa Goldston, Carin Kuoni, Marilyn Kushner, Andrew Mockler and Wendy Weitman.

June18, 2002: Members' Night at IPCNY. IPCNY members are invited to a reception and private viewing of New Prints 2002/Summer, with guest talks by artists and publishers included in the show: Kiki Smith with Bill Goldston, ULAE, Sandrine Guerin with Marc Baron and Elise Boisante, Baron/Boisante, Adam Pitt and Marc Lepson.

April 2, 2002: Collector's Talk
by Ted Rogers for upper level members of IPCNY and the Grolier Club on IPCNY's exhibit, Romance & Solitude: American Prints 1900-1941.

February 23, 2002: Members of IPCNY visit the International Fair of New Art,
the Armory Show, 2002.

January 25, 2002:
Shoptalkcontinues this season with an evening at the Mezzanine Gallery at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for IPCNY's members, generously hosted by Michael Hladky, Director of the gallery and the museum's publishing program. Sylvia Roth, Master Printer and Director of Hudson River Editions was joined by artist John Beerman in a lively presentation of etching techniques and his new editions with particular reference to his new print to be released this spring by the Metropolitan Museum.

November 13, 2001: Printmaking Demonstration
Judith Solodkin and SOLO Impression host IPCNY's Shoptalkwith a printmaking demonstration and reception for IPCNY members. Richard Bosman spoke with his new woodcuts in this 7th event of IPCNY's Shoptalk series.

October 31, 2001: New Prints 2001/Autumn
International Print Center New York announces the fall presentation of its New Prints Program, displaying forty-five works by thirty-four artists. May 15, 2001: New Prints 2001-Summer
IPCNY's third new prints show opens in our Chelsea space. Click here to view the press release for New Prints 2001- Summer.

May 31, 2001: Shoptalkcontinues with a visit to The Old Print Shop and an evening talk by Robert Newman, Director on "The Workshop of Currier and Ives." A selection of prints from the Currier and Ives Workshop was on view.

January 11, 2001: Elizabeth Wyckoff and David Platzker, Exhibition co-curators, present a curatorial talk at Hard Pressed for IPCNY members.

December 12, 2000: Hirschl & Adler Galleries invites IPCNY members to a private viewing of American Master Prints and a holiday reception celebrating our inaugural season. Joseph Goddu gives a spirited and informative talk on the printmaking techniques of Jackson Pollack and other early works by 20th century artists on view in the 70th Street gallery.

November 3, 2000: IPCNY's members attend a complementary evening at the 10th Annual International Fine Print Dealers Association Fair at the Park Avenue Armory in New York. A Young Collectors' reception and tours of the fair by IPCNY took place that same evening. This was the third year that IPCNY's friends and members have participated in the fair.

November 2, 2000: IPCNY's Inaugural Exhibition, Hard Pressed, 600 Years of Prints and Process, opened at the AXA Gallery (formally the Equitable Gallery) at 787 7th Avenue in New York City. Five hundred people attended the opening of this groundbreaking show curated by David Platzker, independent curator and Director of Printed Matter in Manhattan, and Elizabeth Wyckoff Ph.D., Print Specialist at the New York Public Library. The show is reviewed by Grace Glueck in the New York Times on December 8, 2000 and by Claudia La Rocco in Art on Paper in the January-February 2001 edition.

AXA Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 12 p.m.-5 p.m.

September 21, 2000: IPCNY opens its Chelsea space at 526 West 26th Street, Room 824, with New Prints 2000.
