Artist's Statement
I am an artist concerned with portraying the human experience in my art. I want to continue to learn, understand, and master the visual elements of art while examining contemporary life. The primary theme that I have explored and attempted to honestly represent is daily life. I feel it is the ordinary things we do: walking down the street, traveling in cars and on public transit, standing in line at ATM's, that provide insight into the human condition.
In my work, I have drawn inspiration from public places, domestic scenes, and the view outside my window. The media that I have been using are woodcuts, screen-prints, drawing, and watercolor.
