Call for Entries: Juried Printmaking Exhibit "Ink It: Contemporary Print Practices" 2019

BlackRock Center for the Arts is now accepting entries for the juried exhibition “INK IT: Contemporary Print Practices” (selected works will be on view February 23 – March 30, 2019). Juror:  Crawford Alexander Mann III, Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC. 

The biennial “INK IT: Contemporary Print Practices” is a regional juried exhibition open to artists over the age of 18 who live, work, or attend school in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, or West Virginia. This is a non-thematic exhibition of works completed within the past three years (January 2016 – January 2019). Artists may submit entries of up to three works which are original, archivally printed and editioned prints using traditional and/or non-traditional printmaking techniques including woodcut, linocut, lithography, engraving, etching, mezzotint, screenprinting, letterpress, monoprint, monotype, collographs, chine collé, solar plate, digital printing, along with current innovations. No photographs or Giclee reproductions. Both hanging and pedestal works will be considered. All artwork must be for sale.  (BlackRock retains a 30% commission on art sales.)
