Deadline: July 15, 2019
The Oklahoma State University Department of Art, Graphic Design and Art History seeks entries for its 2019 Cimarron National Works on Paper Exhibition. Artists living in the U.S. are invited to submit work made by, with, or on paper, produced within the last three years. Examples include prints, drawings, photography and mixed media work.
Serving as juror for 2019 is Jodi Throckmorton, curator of contemporary art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. The Cimarron National Works on Paper will award a purchase prize of up to $2,000. Purchased work will be added to the permanent collection of the Department of Art, housed in the Oklahoma State University Museum of Art.
Founded in 1987, the Cimarron National became one of the nation’s most prestigious juried exhibitions. This year, the Cimarron National returns with an expanded vision for contemporary works on paper. The exhibition will be held in the Gardiner Gallery of Art on the Oklahoma State University-Stillwater campus September 9 to October 10. The opening reception is September 12 from 5-7 p.m.
