During that time, recipients have unlimited access to the studio during our hours of operation, as long as a class is not taking place in the area in which you wish to work. Scholarship recipients will also be able to choose between taking 1 long course (our semester-long classes in etching, lithography, silkscreen, and Japanese woodblock) or 2 short classes (which change each term). Scholarship recipients will receive storage space and will be reimbursed for supplies up to $125. Receipts must be submitted to receive the stipend. Scholarship recipients will also receive a membership to MGC, which is good for 1 year.

The primary role of interns at Zea Mays Printmaking is to do technical research into safer printmaking practices.  The research is published on our website and has been presented at national conferences and one research project resulted in the manufacturing of a new product.  Interns also assist with workshops, providing an opportunity to see the work done at Zea Mays put into practice. The internships are custom designed to suit the needs of the studio and the intern and to further the intern artist’s education.

Deadline:

All practicing printmakers worldwide are invited to participate in Authentic Marks, an international open call for miniature prints. By participating in this printmaking exhibition, you are given the opportunity to show your work during Dubai Art Week, an annual event that brings art professionals together from around the world. Last year’s exhibition featured original printmaking works from 18 countries, live printing demonstrations, and a VIP opening reception. We plan to continue building on this success with even more offerings this year, including awards of excellence for selected works.

This international exhibition of fine art printmaking will be open for all local, national and international artists. Both professional and early career artists are encouraged to submit their original, hand-pulled artworks for this open themed art exhibition. The goal of this exhibition is to showcase each artist’s originality through their work.
