2017/summer New Prints Artist Development Awardees

We're pleased to announce the launch of a new initiative in conjunction with our cornerstone New Prints Program. Thanks in part to a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the 97 artists on view in JUST UNDER 100: New Prints 2017/Summer were invited to apply for three opportunities for further development: an artist residency program, artist mentorship program, and sponsored coursework program. The three artists selected were Ernesto Ortiz Leyva (residency), Golnar Adili (mentorship), and Alejandro Waskavich (sponsored coursework).

Ernesto will spend three weeks working in our new workshop space, as well as at our partners EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, to further develop his practice. Golnar will be matched with mentors in the print field who will provide critical feedback to help her develop her career. Alejandro will take etching classes in Chicago, sponsored by IPCNY.
