KEIGO PRINTS

BIO

Keigo Takahashi founded Keigo Prints, a fine art printshop and publishing company, in his Bushwick studio in 2009. As an apprentice and then printer at Watanabe Studio from 2000–09, he worked closely with Sol LeWitt, Jim Dine, and Chuck Close on screenprint and relief editions. At his own shop, Takahashi seeks to collaborate with emerging artists interested in making editioned works but who have little or no access to printmaking facilities. Among his first collaborations were two printed book projects with Dan Walsh who, as a friend, helped him set up his shop. Takahashi joined Two Palms, New York in 2015 and continues to print with artists in his studio when time allows. An artist in his own right, he collaborated on a lithograph published by Deb Chaney Editions in 2016 that is represented in the exhibition.  –SR
